This three day signature event at the Autry National Center in Griffith Park, celebrates the continuing traditions and new innovations of American Indian artists. Come see Native dancers, singers, storytellers, and musicians perform throughout the weekend and enjoy some delicious Native food! Native artists will be showcasing exquisite:

Justin Farmer, one of the first male basket weavers to work in the Diegueño (Ipai) tribal style, talks about what drew him to his pioneering career in a traditionally female activity.

Lakota Sioux Dance Theater at Caltech's Beckman Auditorium

"Cokata Upo!" (Come to Center) celebrates the culture of the Lakota people. Dances such as the Jingle Dress, Buffalo, Eagle, and Horse are accompanied by traditional, sacred, and courting songs. Interpretations of the Lakota warrior tradition are juxtaposed against the backdrop of spectacular video imagery.

The Intertribal Arts Marketplace and the Autry National Center abide by the Native Americans Arts and Craft Act of 1990 . All artwork sold on the grounds of the Intertribal Arts Marketplace is sold by the Native American artist who has created the piece.
