Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale
Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale Special Advisor, John J. Geraghty.
Over the past nine years, the Autry National Center's annual Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale has developed into one of the country's most important art shows, giving nationally recognized, contemporary Western artists the opportunity to exhibit their best works and meet with collectors.
Under the guidance of Masters Special Advisor, John J. Geraghty, Masters continues to grow and flourish and 2007 will be no exception. In this episode of Autry Vision you will get a glimpse into the meticulous drive for authenticity and the incredible talents that the Autry National Center assembles each year.
Masters artist Mian Situ discusses his initial introduction to Masters and explains why the genre of Chinese Immigrants in the American West continues to be his mainstay. You'll also see Masters artist Morgan Weistling as he draws from his youth and early artistic influences to realize his painting: The Quilting Bee, 19th Century Americana which debuts at Masters of the American West this year.
